Wanna have charisma? Be a liker!
In our Non-Verbal Communication workshop, we explored a question many people ask:
“Are people born charismatic? Or… is it something we can learn?”
And why is it important anyway?
“I just want to be judged by what I have to say”
Well, charismatic people build stronger relationships and know how to inspire and motivate. They let others feel seen and heard, making them feel special.
So it’s not about good looks, giving a show, or being loud.
Charisma is about:
– Authenticity: being yourself incl your vulnerabilities and insecurities
– Connection: showing genuine interest in others
– And likeability…
One of the most surprising insights came from research among high school students:
𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦.
The most popular kids were the ones who had the longest list of people THEY liked!
It was such an eye-opener!
Not rocket science, but incredibly powerful in leadership.
